About the Role
The Cybersecurity Pre-Sales Engineer is a technical expert who collaborates with the commercial team to design and present cybersecurity solutions tailored to customer needs, including SOC tools such as Google SecOPS, Perception Point, Resecurity, Jumpcloud, HubSpot, Keeper, Vicarius, and Sentinel One, as well as cybersecurity and compliance services. This role is key to translating the technical capabilities of these products and services in terms of customer value, ensuring a clear understanding of how the proposed solutions support their security objectives. In addition, the Pre-Sales Engineer supports the sales team in the preparation of technical proposals, presentations and documentation, and coordinates the implementation of solutions when necessary to facilitate an optimal buying experience.
Your Main Challenges
- Thoroughly understand the customer's needs: Analyze the customer's technical and business needs to propose solutions that truly add value and fit their specific security requirements.
- Technical Demonstrations and Presentations: Conduct customized demonstrations and presentations of products and services that address specific customer security needs, showcasing the value of tools such as Sentinel One and Jumpcloud, etc.
- Development of Technical and Economic Proposals: Create detailed proposals including technical designs and budget estimates, aligning cybersecurity solutions with specific customer requirements and ensuring economic viability.
- Documentation and Adaptation of Solutions: Create and adapt technical documentation that facilitates the understanding of the proposed solutions, translating technical advantages into understandable business benefits.
- Solution Implementation Coordination: Ensure the smooth transition from sales to solution implementation, working with technical and operations teams so that solutions are deployed in accordance with customer agreements.
- Technical Support for the Sales Team: Support the sales team in defining technical needs and creating content that effectively explains the benefits of cybersecurity solutions.
- Stay Current on Technology and Certifications: Participate in trainings and obtain certifications from key manufacturers and vendors to stay abreast of the latest innovations in cybersecurity and SOC.
- Market Analysis and Competitive Strategy: Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation, price optimization and product positioning in cybersecurity.
- Internal Process Optimization: Improve pre-sales processes to speed up the time-to-market of cybersecurity solutions, reducing response times and costs.
What you need to be successful
- Necessary Technical Experience:
- Knowledge in Cybersecurity and working with a SOC: Experience in cybersecurity solutions, especially in selling and configuring tools such as Google SecOps, Perception Point, Risk Security, Jumpcloud, HubSpot, Keeper, Vicarius, and Sentinel One.
- Ability in Solution Design and Configuration: Experience in creating technical and commercial proposals, with knowledge in IT infrastructure, network security and cloud solutions.
- Product Evaluation and Competitive Analysis: Familiarity with own and competitor's product evaluation methodologies, with the ability to perform technical and value comparisons.
- Project Management for Implementation: Knowledge in project management to coordinate the implementation of technical solutions once sold to the customer.
- Budgeting and Risk Analysis: Skills in budgeting and risk analysis for cybersecurity sales operations.
- Key Skills:
- Technical and Commercial Communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable way to customers and commercial team.
- Customer Orientation and Solution Focus: Ability to identify and anticipate customer needs, offering tailored solutions that maximize value.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Efficiency in collaborative work with the commercial team and other departments, generating integrated and coordinated proposals.
