About the role
The Compliance Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for providing specialized technical support to the sales team throughout the compliance services sales cycle.
Its main mission is to design, size and present solutions that allow organizations to align or certify themselves with standards and regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, ISO 22301, among others.
This role ensures that each proposal meets the technical requirements of the applicable regulations, fits the client's specific needs and is feasible in terms of scope, resources and timeframe.
Complementarily, he will also collaborate in the pre-sales of other cybersecurity services such as MSSP, SOC, Cloud and Ethical Hacking, ensuring technical consistency and quality in the proposals.
Your Main Challenges
- Technical sales support
- Participate in meetings with potential customers to understand their compliance needs and propose appropriate technical solutions.
- Requirements gathering and analysis.
- Assess the client's current status against applicable standards, identifying gaps and compliance needs.
- Technical dimensioning: Define scope, resources, time and costs for the implementation or certification in specific standards, ensuring accurate and cost-effective proposals.
- Preparation of technical proposals: Write the technical section of commercial proposals, describing solutions, work plans, deliverables and benefits.
- Resolution of technical doubts: Act as a technical reference point for clients and commercial team during the negotiation.
- Collaboration in other services: Support in pre-sales of MSSP, SOC, Cloud and Ethical Hacking services, when required.
- Post-sales transition management: Coordinate the Kick Off of the project and deliver complete documentation to the operational team to ensure a smooth transition.
- Cross-departmental collaboration: Work closely with Operations, Customer Success, Sales and other areas to ensure the viability and consistency of proposed solutions.
- Updating and continuous training: Keeping up to date with regulations and industry trends, obtaining certifications and participating in training.
- Process standardization: Develop and maintain standard templates, checklists and documentation to streamline pre-sales.
What you need to be successful
Indispensable:
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cybersecurity/compliance pre-sales, consulting or auditing roles.
- Direct participation in certification processes or implementation of safety standards.
- Experience in direct interaction with customers and sales teams.
Technical knowledge:
- Solid knowledge of information security and business continuity frameworks and standards.
- Experience in the gathering and analysis of regulatory compliance requirements.
- Management of tools and methodologies for gap assessments and security audits.
- Ability to size projects: scope, resources, time and costs.
- Experience in writing technical proposals and implementation plans.
Desirable certifications:
- ISO 27001 (Internal or external auditor)
- Certifications in other security or business continuity frameworks.
